Default Chipped ECU reset?

I had a b18b1 in my 2000 Civic DX with a built top end. The ECU was chipped for launch control around 4500 RPM and fuel cut off at 7800-8000.

I recently swapped the motor into a 96 Civic DX. I noticed right away that the launch control deleted and in neutral I can happily rev my car past that. I haven't gotten the chance to see how it does on the top end since the DMV is closed in my state and I can't register my car. Cop lives on my street to so thats a no-no lol. I had to use an OBD2A harness and jumper harness in the swap (going from OBD2B to OBD2A since the hatch is a 96 ((duh)). I was just wondering why my chipped ECU reset? Reset as in it's acting like a stock ECU. I'm a little illiterate when it comes to electronics.

Anybody have any idea?

Anytime you unplug the ECU it will erase any cells and reset its self. But it should not erase any settings in the calibration. Its possible the "chip" glitched and you lost your entire base map.

What program are you using in the ECU to chip it? If it was Hondata you could easily open Smanager and check those parameters or upload the map again.

Clutch switches... or VSS issues. It is unlikely that the chip got freaked out just because you moved it from one car to another.

I believe the chip was burned with chrome using a cheap chip burner. I think I'm just going to chip another p74. Its cheap enough.
