Default car immobilizers

when you swap an engine and ecu into a civic, what do you do about the immobilizer? is it in the ecu itself? for example, swapping a 96-up B18B1 into a 96 hatch using the 96-up LS ECU. wont the immobilizer cause problems? would you need to get the key for the ECU or reprogram the ECU or nothing at all?

Default Re: car immobilizers (deviant1)

Use an OBDI ECU jumper harness and an OBDI LS ECU then you won't have to worry about any of that and get better performance at the same time
