If I swap the y7 for Y8 cam and lock it. Can the stock p2e keep up with fuel at higher rpms and or compensate at idle with the additional lift?

looking to swap my daily with a 1.6 non vtec

it’s automatic. It’ll stay automatic. I’d like to retain cruise control
