Default Brake upgrade questions

Hi,

I'm preparing to get started on the brake upgrade I've been putting off. Its an 89 Si w/ rear drums and stock brakes. The information I've found regarding prop valves has been confusing so I wanted to ask.

New setup:
Fastbrakes 11" front conversion
Scarebird rear disc brackets
DC Integra front and rear calipers
15/16 master cylinder
4040 prop valve

I was following this thread to figure out what parts I'd need: https://honda-tech.com/forums/suspen...tions-3252027/

Read more and his setup sticks with the 1725 valve and 13/16 MC and it sounds like it works well.

Will my setup be too sensitive / unpredictable with the 4040 and larger MC? Should I look for a CRX Si prop valve and stay with the stock MC?

Will the stock valve make the rears lock up quicker, or later?

Thanks

i dont think theres much of a difference between the 3540 and 4040. ppl who put rear discs and use a 4040 dont seem to have issues.

not changing your prop valve will make the rear lock up quicker.

i dont think your MC matters much in this case. but might as well follow the same setup as what came in a car designed for rear discs.
