Mixed Messages With FelPro PermaDryPlus Oil Pan Gaskets
So I'm getting mixed messages with FelPro PermaDryPlus oil pan gaskets and I'd like some clarification if anybody can give it to me..
I've had leak after leak with my oil pan gaskets - tried everything but the myhondahabit gasket.. what I have now is the FelPro PermaDryPlus gasket which says on their website that it shouldn't be used with any sealants or anything - very specifically.. but for some reason black sealant is included in the package? So should I be hitting the block with hondabond with this gasket or is the rubber enough to seal it up?
D16Y8 Turbo FWIW, brand new oil pan so I know it's got a good surface...
Any help is appreciated.

You still place HondaBond in the four places that the oil pump housing and rear crankshaft seal plate meet the block. Otherwise, you do not need any additional HondaBond placed on the remainder of the block surfaces. The gasket does a great job.
I installed that gasket and its worked out great so far. Its been a year or so and been trouble free. I wouldn't go back to OEM again.
