Default What OBD1 ECU is most recommended to use with Hondata

hi i was thinking hondata S300 would be the best for me to use for my car.
I'm thinking a P72 GSR OBD1 ECU would be best. but I'm not totally sure.
i will be running the following
B16a2 block
B18C5 head
Coil on plug with M&W 4 channel CDI and AEM EPM
Boost Solenoid
2 fualab fuel pumps (one for meth tank)
8 DSM low z Fuel injectors
CRV b series AWD transmission
OBD2 alternator
and i don't know what to do about sensors yet. but i was going to get all the wiring harnesses from rywire.
in a 90-91 CRX

whats the best ECU for me and what can be done that i don't know about. thanks guys head of time

I’m sure any obd1 vtec ecu (or non vtec converted) with your BBG components will work fine. And Hondata S300 is great, along with the Neptune Demon RTP. You’ll probably be fine with either option.

on S300 can you have 4 ECU outputs for COP 4 channel CDI trigger inputs?

No. You have to use a separate controller. This is going to be the case with any stock ecu based add on board.

Having used both S300 and NepTune RTP, I'd go with the S300 all day. There are some things that each does better than the other, but at the end of the day SManager is just so much better than the NepTune software.

Look at other options too. By the time you spend the money on a new S300, refurbishing an ecu (you NEED to be replacing all of the capacitors at this point or you're asking for a failure), installing and sourcing some sort of COP setup, you're 90% of the way to a proper standalone unit. Link G4 plugin can do COP, can use hall effect triggers if you want to do ditch the distributor, and has closed loop boost control and actual knock control (something your P72 can't do well even with an add-on box). It also fits in a stock ecu and you won't need a jumper harness if you're running an obd2 chassis.

ECU Plugin G4X V2.4 HC92X Honda Civic 1992-95 Gen 5

I'm thinking now AEM V2 ems and custom Wire-Worx engine wire harness. obd1 ems and obd2 b18c5 head and b16b obd2 block with obd1 sensors.
obd2 alternator 240amps for stereo system.

can we swap sensors obd2 to obd1?

Your sensors will all carry over. Seriously, check out Link ecu. If you're going to do a custom harness then jump straight to an Infinity if really want to stay AEM or check out the Link wire-ins. The Series 2 was/is a great ECU but there is wayyy better hardware out there in the same price range at this point.

Nothing is wrong with the V2, just that you can do better at the same price point. Any reason for wanting low impedance injectors? How much power are you looking to make? Fuel type?

Nice. Should be a fun build. I don't have a ton of experience at that power level but I'm pretty sure you're going to need more than 2000cc's of injector even at 5 bar pressure if you're going to run alcohol.

Edit - I misread your post. You were saying the 1800s were the biggest you could get in low-z. Now I got ya.

i was going to run 8x1800cc injectors and dual fuel rails.

I'm going to street drive it so ill have to use 94 octane.
i think v2 would be good for me for my first standalone

v2 is only 1450$ and the harness is just as much.but i don't wanta use a 30 year old stock D series harness it can't be trusted.
so ill spent 3000$ USD on a good thing. the way i want it too.

Yeah I wouldn't bother with an original harness for anything really, let alone a 1khp build. That Link is $900. I din't realize the Series 2 is still at $1450! You can definitely get more ecu for less money. I didn't mean to post one with a dodgy location lol. There are reputable US dealers too. I grabbed the first one I saw.

If you and your tuner are comfortable with the Series 2, it's still a good box and I'd take it over an S300 any day, particularly since it has closed loop boost control.

Only street car Honda I still have going is my daily, mild built NA B20 in a 2000 Civic sedan w/ s300. I spend most of my days working with high end motorsports electronics - Mainly McLaren and Cosworth stuff. It's still fun to get a day off from work and do some tweaking on my little S300 setup, even if 10Hz logging makes me want to scream sometimes.

Not familiar, I don't think I've ever actively looked at cardomain actually.
