Default Would you guys choose a different head gasket than this for boosted setup?

Going to go ahead and knock out the head studs when I do the timing belt and was wondering what head gasket I should get. For a mild 300whp setup would you guys suggest anything other than this one for a LS setup?

https://www.acurapartshq.com/oem-par...ZC1tYW51YWw%3D

And is there anything else I should do while I'm in there?

OEM is best. Don't need anything else. You are good to go.

That's what I thought. Should I copper spray the top and bottom? I think no but wanted to hear opinions.

For OEM , for me I always do. Just a small layer enough to get "tacky" using permatex copper spray.

Anything wrong with Felpro? Quite a bit cheaper and I can grab some other stuff while I'm at it at Rock Auto.

Just go with Genuine Honda H/G and be done with. It's not that much more than a FelPro.

Sounds good, ordering OEM now

I figured with the head out of the way it would also be a good time to do the back of block catch can setup too.

there are some exceptions to that. Last month, I ordered a Aisin water pump kit for my Lexus and it was the same as what Toyota was selling, but at a cheaper price. Other than the kit didn't come in a Toyota packaging, it fit perfectly and works fine.

OEM Honda gaskets and seals will save you a lot of grief in the long term, unless your over 500whp the OEM head gasket is fine, and some people push the OEM to som high high power levels

Did you already picked up a set of fresh NGK spark plugs? Best price for them is Advance Auto Parts/Car Quest. Just search for the latest 25% off promo code and order them for pick-up at your nearby store.

I still need to get some NGK plugs and NGK wires. Also wondering if I should go through the distributor and see if everything is good and OEM. Is there a better rotor than the OEM that people are using? I don't think much else needs to be touched.

I'm not currently boosted and will be driving around for a few more months before I am. Still have to do the clutch and flywheel and other odds and ends.

What are the stock heat range NGK plugs? I need a set of them too for right now.

correct. So a BRK7E-11 7 heat range is what you need.
