Default oil pump shredded

hey so recently i replaced my oil pump on my h22a and i thought i put it all back together right. i primed it on first start a few times, had good oil pressure. after about a day of driving i started to leak lots of oil. i pulled the engine cause ive been meaning to do so anyway due to other issues and found out that the whole seal that sits around the crackshaft was just shredded and ripped off. any idea what would have caused this? do i have to pre-lubricate any part of the oil pump before installing the new one? thanks in advance

First thought, did you use the seal for a 50mm main engine on a 55mm main? You should lightly wipe the seal with a dab of oil on install, but that shouldn't shred it if missed... did something get in there? What condition is the crank in?
