verify your wring from ECU to distributor.
Do electrical continuity checks.
Also check inside the distributor and check that all wires are in good condition.
Other than that, try a different distributor.

your crank position sensor is in the dizzy
but just becasue you have a code 4 does not always mean that your sensor is bad

a 02 sensor that is not connected right will also throw a code 4
that p28 ecu you have will be looking for a 4 wire o2 sensor
so make sure you have that hooked up with your jumper harness

hope that helped

I had a code 4 after a b18c swap to my 93 civic vx. After searching for 2 months, I had swapped distributors and ecu. Checked continuity on the distributor harness to shock tower, then shock tower to ecu. Changed my o2 sensor and even changed the pigtails to my ecu. I crossed this post and decided to explore it more and it was the lead to my solution. Vx harness repinning maybe be wrong by some of the diagrams provided on the interweb. From converting the o2 sensor and adding a knock sensor. One of the wires is identical to the cps wire and can easily be confused because they are literally righ next to each other. Make sure your pin out is correct. To the future person looking for this solution you’re welcome.
