Hello everyone,

I got an EK3, D15Z6 engine (1.5 VTEC-E), and in the last couple of days I noticed a gas smell on the oil dipstick.
Yesterday, when revving it up to high rpm (+5K), there was a blue-ish/white smoke coming off the car.

It turns on perfectly when cold and hot, and there is no visible smoke on idle or low rpm.
The idle is constant at 750rpm, and the fuel consumption is also normal. No strong odor of gasoline outside the car on idle, also.

The car went to a major check about 800 miles ago, changing all the oils, filters, distribution, etc.

Before running a compression test, what can be expected from these symptoms? Piston rings?

Oil smells like gas? Rings.

 

Has it started using more fuel than normal? How do your plugs look after running?
I've had an injector not close all the way and give way too much fuel.

The fuel consumption seems normal, the plugs have been changed recently, 2 weeks ago.

Maybe it is one of the injectors... Is it possible that when adding the STP fuel injector cleaner made this happen?
I recently added it, and it was since then I noticed this odor on the oil.

 

Replace the engine oil. Then monitor whether the fuel smell returns without the cleaner treatment.
