Default Series of questions For the D16Y7

I've searched and read a couple of forums but the answers are not very clear so I'm asking specifics and hope to get specifics.

First Mod in question.

Coil on plug in a D series.
I've seen the hondata piece for running the individual coils. Would this still require a ecu or piggyback? Or full custom. The idea would be to use it a D17 valve cover so the coils just bolted on. Would K series coils work?

Second. Turbo.

It's been asked repeatedly but not specific enough. The D Series has "some" stock tuning your able to do with the Dizzy and a FMU. Is it going to be harmful to the motor without a full fledged tune? Not is it possible or it needs to have good afrsWhat are it's limits? When I got an ECU, probably a hondata, would turbo and the D17 valve cover and individual coil packs be with reasonable achievability? Will the Y8 head be a decent improvement with this setup?

Regarding turbo, post your thread in the forced induction forum, which is all about turbo.

Look into the Burton kit! 100% plug and play very easy to install! uses D17 coils,
https://www.burton-racing.com/collec...il-on-plug-kit

You will want to contact ,WWW.GO-AUTOWORKS.COM Online Store. Your #1 Source For Sport Compact Performance about a proper Turbo kit for your needs. In my opinion you don't need a COP kit unless your shooting for high HP and squeezing every bit of HP you can get! the OEM distributor setup will be fine.

Don't skimp on the ECU contact, http://www.phearable.net/ and ask for a ECU with Hondata with a base map for your setup! you can also provide them with the ECU and Hondata if you buy it used and they can burn you a good base map to run the turbo setup safely until you are ready to get it fully tuned.

If your going to turbo it the cheapest simplest solution would be at least upgrade the intake manifold to a Y8 manifold. You might gain a few more HP doing the Y8 head swap and it will be a good time to add ARP head studs but its up to you if the few HP gain is worth it for you. You can always do the manifold conversion and boost it and if after you want more power go with a ported Y8 head, more psi ect..
