Default Turbo Coolant Return Question.

Was curious where you guys are returning the coolant from your ball bearing turbos? As of now mine is in the head which i believe is causing my temp sensor to read super high? Anyone else have this issue? I have ordered the freeze block -6 fitting from full race to move the return from the block.

There's really nota return side just needs water running thru it but usually radiator to coolant drain plug on block or if that doesent work/ not available bung can be welded to t start housing

gotcha sir. I’m having an issue with the temp reaching 200-210 i was thinking many because the coolant return is directly right next to the temp sensor.

On my setup one side goes to the bottom of the radiator and the other side goes to the water pipe under the intake manifold.

What fan are you using, do you have a shroud, and what are the fan settings in your tune? I recommend a puller SPAL fan with a shroud and setting the tune to run the fan over 185F up to 90 mph vehicle speed. I made these changes and went from a cruising temperature of 205F down to 185F. Even in the summer with running AC the highest I saw was about 192F.

Agreed. You won't see any changes with your coolant line rerouted. the coolant in the turbo doesn't get hot enough to csuse sensor issues.

Im using a SPAL pusher fan because there’s now space for a puller with running a 4” downpipe. I re routed the coolant return to the block also wrapped the down pipe (kinda shitty) but seems to have done the trick with the temp staying around 190-195 sitting. This is also without my bumper on which I’m hoping to not have to cut my JDM front bumper 🤦🏻‍♂️.
