2004 Accord EX V6 - Passenger side map light comes on when door is opened, shuts off when closed after a delay. Switch is in the "DOOR" position. Drivers side does nothing, if I push on it, the light comes on with doors open or closed, but then does not turn off until I press the lens again.

 

Clean or replace the switch under the map light, i replaced mine - some claim all you need to do is clean.

Thanks very much, that was it, I took out the switch, cleaned the contacts with a Q-Tip and alcohol, put it back and all is well - I probably will order a pair anyway.

 

I have to buy the same Map light Switch base mine is doing the same thing at first i thought it was just the bulbs where burned out. replace those then after 6 months. the Light on drivers side would not come on. took it apart seen the white plastic plunger has corrosion.Its $60 part so for permanent fix have to replace it.
