Default B18B1 build

Can you guys help me put a parts list together for a 400hp bB18 build? I’ve got a CX racing 35mm turbo for it and I’m needing basically a brand new bottom end, Bearings, rods... etc.. I’d like to use chromie ring. It’s a stock top end with ARP studs and I’m thinking about doing either a stage 1 or 2 cams for it. Would that help any?

Now I don’t know much about non vtec heads. But your bottom end you can get away with a piston and rod build to get you close to 400hp. As far as the head goes, I know guys can get that much power from them, in just not sure if things like porting, cams, and other head work are involved to do so.

As far as brands and CR go, just browse around the FI forums. You’ll pick up what this guy does, what that guy did and get an an idea on the direction you should go as well. There’s many combination of parts to get you where you need to be.

Im doing a similar build on a ls head and css block trying to make 550whp. bc stage 1 cams will to the job along with springs, cosmetic hg and a refreshed head. For bottom end id go with wisco pistons around 9-10 comp and eagle rods with kings bearings non-race. Assuming you have a crank just take it to the machine shop for a micropolish and balance.
