Help! B18 Milled head Cam gear off
So I think I managed to set the cam and crank at TDC with the stock cam gears. I started the engine and tried to set the timing and my distributor was fully advanced. When fully advanced I was not able to even reach the 12 degree mark on the crank pulley.
Any clue?

Please keep all of this together in one thread. It's all related and having all the details, trials and errors in one place makes it easier for any who help you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
set everything back to TDC, first the crank pulley, then the cam gears. Rotate the engine CCW at least one full revolution. If the crank pulley is back at TDC, the 2 cam gears should line up correctly.
On another note, why are you putting all those blue silicone on the spark plug holes and between the cam gears? A brand new valve cover is like $20.

As Stated in the post. Previous owner did the gasket maker. Ive since degreed my cams and worked out whatever issue I was having.
