Help please! Oil leaking bad from behind timing belt
This is gonna be my first post so bare with me lol. So i have a 00 lude h22a bought it like 2 months ago. Has 228km in it and been babying it since i bought it. Last night, started my car up and waited till it warms up and the oil indicator keeps going off so i wonder wth is happening. I looked underneath my car and all i can see is just pool of oil literally leaked all my oil out. i dont know what could be the problem is, it might be my crankshaft seal or camshaft idk i’d have to take the whole right side off to see. Oil just dripping down to the front of my oil pan. I have a video of it posted on youtube ill send the link down below. Help please!!
Under the covers you have the crank seal, 2 cam seals, balance shaft seal, balance shaft gearbox, plugs for rocker shafts, and head gasket all that could leak oil. Going to have to take some stuff apart to narrow it down.
This just happened to me - 1999 Prelude, 160k miles, one owner. It was the balance shaft seal. Like you, I was lucky to catch this before I got on the road, or it could have been disastrous. I hope your repair goes well.
