AEM Fuel Rail and Regulator, what size is the inlet/outlet threads?
Ok,i'm trying to get AN hose ends for from my AEM Fuel Rail and Regulator but i dont know what size and pitch the threads are,are they 1/4" NPT? i was thinking of using Russel #612090 #06 Hose to 1/4" Pipe thread connector,do you think this will work? any help is much appeciated, thanks.
I remember seeing this info on AEM forums and dug it up for you:
The fuel rail is tapped on both sides with the same thread it is a 9/16-18 SAE thread which is also known as a -6AN.
Thanks,
AEM GN
There are three feeds to the universal fuel pressure regulator. two -6 and one 1/8 NPT which can also be used for a fuel pressure gauge. There is one return fitting which is -6.

It's not NPT then, it's AN. What that means is you need a -6an to -6an flare adapter. Just like with an Aeromotive or other regulator, the ports are tapped with -6an threads ....
The fitting will have the same threads on each side, but one is a male flare that you connect the line to. The other you would use an o-ring on and connect it to the fuel rail.

I went with one of these,i figure itll eliminate an extra fitting, think itll be alright
