Code 16 jdm h22a swapped EG hatch
Hi I have a jdm h22a swapped eg with a eprom chipped p06 ecu, I just bought the car and hardly know any history on it, it’s hard to start in the mornings and you have to hold the throttle down and pump it to get it to start cold period. I’ve got code 16 (fuel injector), the h22 I have is a 92 therefore it would be the peak and hold 345cc injectors. Whoever did the swap never put a resistor box in for the injectors so I was wondering if this would be the cause of my hard start and code 16?
It could be, but there are many other possibilities as to why you have issues with this car. Is it tuned or just running on a base map ? Have you measured the impedance of the fuel injectors ? Are you sure the fuel injectors are stock/original ? Have you tried another ECU ?
Yes they are the stock 1992 h22a injectors which are 345cc peak and holds, there is a basemap loaded onto it but I have a buddy coming down sometime in the next few days to try a different ecu and set of injectors.
I was reading the flash code wrong and It had actually been code 10 and 6, intake air temperature sensor and coolant temp sensor, the IAT sensor + and - were broken off and the temp sensor wasn’t wired in causing it to be a pain starting in the cold. Thanks for the help guys
