So I've recently purchased a 1991 CRX DX that's mini me swapped and is turbocharged. She needs some work but I'm gonna get everything fixed up. I'm having an issue with my left brake light. When the headlights are off my brake lights work perfectly fine, however when you turn them on the left tail light completely turns off when you press the brake. Any ideas, or do you guys just think someone just butchered the wiring?

 

Check whether a single-filament bulb rather than a double-filament bulb was installed on the left side.

 

DOEs it blow a fuse when you turn on the lights?

 

Double filament just like the right side.

 

No, the all the fuses are fine.

 

Are the right and left bulbs identical, that is the same part number?

 

Seems like my bulbs are the issue, They aren't the same. I swapped the left bulb and right bulb now the only brake light that comes on is the center light. Thank you.
