So i am rebuild my b16a and noticed the intake valve stems have oil dripping down them. The head has just been sitting on my work bench for a week or so.
Its not much but its odd because i just replaced the valve stem seals about a year ago with supertech seals. I need to know if i should replace them or if this is somewhat normal.
Replace the seals.. NOTHING is normal about oil leaking past them.
yeah i figured lol i was just scratching me head at it because i replaced them not too long ago. Oh well i will go with oem seals this time and hope for better luck. Appreciate it man!
I used some supertech vitons on mine as well. It sat for a while too.. About 3 weeks before I was able to get it all assembled. Haven't had any issue this far, about 2100 miles post-startup.

i could have messed them up on assembly... i remember giving them a few good whacks with a soft faced hammer and a 10mm socket just yo make sure they were seated.
This cheap tool has been great - I've used it on 3 heads in the last 2 years. The pliers have allowed me to remove valve stem seals without adding any heat, and the driver is recessed to protect the seal when you drive them on.
