Misaligned Pulleys
I had a timing belt change and now the pulleys are misaligned. The power steering and alternator pulleys are the correct distance apart. But both are not in line with the crankshaft pulley which I believe is also called the drive shaft pulley. It appears that the crankshaft pulley is moved farther toward the engine and away from the tire than it should be. This is causing a terrible squeaking sound which I hope is just the sides of the belts rubbing against the pulley guides. But how is this possible? When putting the crankshaft pulley back on how is it possible to put in on misaligned?

but I don’t understand how it’s possible in any model accord to install a crankshaft pulley misaligned with the accessory pulleys.
Sounds like you left something off the crankshaft snout behind the crank pulley when you re-assembled it. Do you have any CEL codes for Crank Position or TDC ?
im aware they are two different belts. That’s why I said the alternator belt and P/S belt are the correct distance apart. They both wrap around the dual crankshaft pulley (it has two diameters one for each belt. The crankshaft pulley is clearly out of alignment. I’m wondering if the mechanic left off a spacer or washer when changing the timing belt. But I’ve never removed a crankshaft pulley so I was hoping someone who has could respond by explaining how it could possibly go on out of alignment.

No CEL.
From inside to outside, you will have the crank gear (for the timing belt), balance shaft pulley, crank pulley and then the crank pulley bolt. Since you have no CEL codes, it is unlikely that you are missing any parts. Sometimes the lower timing cover gets installed incorrectly and it rubs against the back of the crank pulley... making noise and wearing through the plastic. This may make it APPEAR that the crank pulley is mis-aligned, but may not truly be. Is the A/C and alternator belt rubbing against the lower timing cover ? Is the crank pulley wobbling when the engine is running ?
