Default WTF!!!

Hello everyone! I have a 1991 Honda Civic dx hatch with a stock d15b2. The individual I purchased it from bypassed the starter and the fuel pump from the ignition. The ignition switch stripped out so the key no longer started the car. I also believe the wires in the ignition switch were bad. I replaced the ignition switch. Now I am trying to figure out how to re-wire the starter and pump to the ignition switch properly. So when I turn the key the pump primes instead of constantly dumping fuel. I have been searching like crazy for info. The black/white wire that runs from the starter to the clutch safety switch and then to the starter relay (which ever order that runs in) is gone. Then “F” if I know what to do to the fuel pump to get it back to oem. Any help would be much appreciated. If pictures would benefit let me know.

First of all, check your VIN, specifically the 7th character. If it reads 1HGED64 then the car started life as an automatic. Very often a transmission swap is the reason the clutch safety switch is missing. That digit will be a 3 if it was built as a manual.

The cabin harness for these cars is one part - it terminates at the bulkhead and runs all the way back to the tail lights. It's very unlikely that the wires you need are gone altogether, perhaps they were cut back farther along the harness for some reason.

Just to be clear, which plug are you looking at for the fuel pump? You do know the plug under the rear seat is for the sending unit, correct?

Thank you for the info. It is in fact a manual. The seventh character is a 3. My bad on the fuel pump. I did mean the sending unit. My issue is how do I wire the starter and sending unit back to the ignition. The starter and sending unit are hard wired. When the key is in accessory the sending unit should prime. In order for me to start the car I put the key in and turn to it accessory. Then I flip a switch for the sending unit and then I hit a toggle switch until the engine starts and then shut it off. I have no issue changing parts on car when the harnesses are intact. But I know nothing about wiring. Thank you so much for the help.

I may have figured out the issue using the thread titled fuse box continuity (continued). Now am I savvy enough to figure it out? 🤣🤬🤯. Or do I get frustrated and go caveman on it and start whacking **** with a hammer to ease my ignorance and confusion while boosting moral through senseless violence of an inanimate. Only time will tell. Thanks again.

Sending unit and fuel pump are not the same. The sending unit is under the round cover under the rear seat. The fuel pump is on top of the tank toward the rear - it's functionally inaccessible unless you drop the tank. But I should have read your post more carefully, sorry for the sidetrack - the wiring is likely fine back there.
If the pump runs constantly then the main relay was probably bypassed. Under dash on driver side pillar. Check that first.\

The starter system may also be intact; I can't imagine someone would remove and tear down two harnesses to completely remove the wires you need. Start where the starter relay should be (should be forward of the main relay, if I remember correctly), see if you can find a loose plug nearby.

This^ describes a properly functioning main relay-ECU-fuel pump circuit.

Fixed

Sounds like the ECU may be bad or is not receiving the CKP sensor signal. The ECU together with the main relay and CKP sensor controls both the fuel pump prime and the constant running of the fuel pump once the engine has started.

Supposed to be black and white wire running from starter to wire harness.

Through firewall

To a switch

Here are photos of what I am dealing with.

I replaced the main relay when I purchased the car. The starter relay is connected. I also replaced the ignition switch. The ignition switch was connected to the front of the fuse box. They continue from the back of the fuse box and connect to the starter relay. From there I am lost. Hell it might be a black and red wire that connects to the starter. I know between the manual and automatics have different connection for the starter wire.

Wooohooooo!!! Never been so happy to be blind (ignorant/dumb) in my life. They did not completely remove the b/w wire from the harness that leads to the starter solenoid!!! Granted there is length of empty wire loom tubing. It hangs over the starter solenoid. I assumed once carried said wire to someplace from the solenoid. F’ing score!!!
