D15B JDM V-TEC wont start and I’m stumped.
So I picked up a 1993 Civic Del Sol a couple years back with a D15B JDM engine swapped in to it and haven’t done too much to it other than let it sit around and drive it on the occasion. I recently moved the car and it drove fine until the crank shaft pulley came loose. I got the car re-timed and everything put back together. I went to go fire up the car and nothing but cranking(it took me about a month to get around to fixing this). I had the same issue with it before I moved the car, but after about 15 minutes it just fired up like nothing was even wrong in the first place. I now started doing some trouble shooting because it wasn’t a coincidence this time that it won’t fire up. I checked spark and replaced the fuel injector and my fuel pump works fine, I’ve tested it. I checked the plug running to the fuel pump but I had no voltage. I’ve replaced the fuel pump relay but still nothing. When I go to prime the fuel pump I hear a click but nothing more and the car still won’t fire up only crank. If anyone has any ideas I’m open to suggestions so fire away. Thank you.
Turn the key on but don't crank. The check engine light should come on then go out. During the time it is on the fuel pump should run to prime the lines, and then stop. If the light comes on and stays on, you have a bad ECU, bad main relay, or bad ground on the thermostat, and the car is not going to start.
I thiknk you are asying that the car has run since you put the timing belt back on. If it has not (and the ECU power up test above passes) you need to consider valve damage.
