Does the product claim to be able to repair a cracked exhaust manifold? I could not find such a claim.

After resetting the ECU, do any CEL codes pop up?

P1457 is an EVAP system code. It has nothing to do with a cracked EM.

Prior to applying quiksteel, were other codes thrown?

You won't pass emissions without a cat.

Correct.

But if you get a hard P1457 code, then you won't pass the emissions test.

You won't pass next year's emission test without a cat.

I passed with mine filled with quick steel. Just be sure to follow the directions to a T and make sure you have your heat shield attached so it covers the repaired area.
