Default Help...dumb question about swap...

allright dont get mad and flame me, ive done the research and use the search button and ive still haven't found the answer for my question. Its either i just can't find it, or im just too slow to see the answer.

okay, here's my question. Im doing a OBDI GSR swap in my 93 Civic DX. I have the complete engine harness from the GSR. Well reading all the info on how to perform the swap, i have to add a few wires to the harness, but it really didnt state that i had to add the extra wires if i had the GSR harness or the original harness. Well basiclly, if im using the GSR harness, and the GSR ecu, would i still have to add the extra wires? i hope thats clear enough, its hard for me to write what im trying to ask. Thanks in advance. *oh yea, virgin swapper so anymore info to add would be great!*

VTEC oil pressure sensor needs ground which you can tap into Grn/Wht wire, and ECU Signal wire to the D6 pin-out on ECU

and

VTEC solenoid valve to A4 pin-out on ECU

Knock Sensor (mounted at rear of engine near cyl head) needs ECU Signal leading to D3 on ECU

and

IAB which one of the wires are to 12v source (correct me if wrong) and wire up to A17 at ECU

hope that helps

You have to use the CX harness, and add wires to that. Unless your GSR harness has the plugs to the ecu on it too.

so if the GSR harness has the plugs to the ecu would i still have to add wires?

also another question to clear up for me...the wires that i have to add to the ecu, they're found on the harness right?

this guy has a dx not a cx. READ THE WHOLE POST!! use the gsr ENGINE HARNESS. plug that into the your civic harness that goes into the firewall. inside the car the civic harness will plug into the gsr ecu. now this is when you add wires coming from the engine to the ecu. your civic harness that goes through the firewall does not have the wires that need to be added. the gsr engine harness does have them. if u cant understand this then pay someone to do it for you.
