Hey, sorry been out of the honda game for a few years, came across this project and I think it's become more of a headache than fun. Cut wires and "extra" wires.
I BELIEVE im very near the stage to firing it up although im missing a fuse box, he said it was "tucked" ( non existant) lol.
Question is, this white wire coming from the driver's side harness, goes to...?
This is right by the headlamp. (The other wires hanging are for the rad fan.) As I recall, there is no white lower # gauge wire in this area. I suspect added by p.o., too. Check where it leads in the harness beyond where it's wrapped in electrical tape.
With a ground attached? And what seems to be a fuse? Or relay? My assumption was to fuse box, because I have no fuse box( was told it was tucked, but its non existant atm) which explains why I can't turn the car over lmao. but I'll have to retrace it I guess. Perks of buying some else's rats nest. Why can't people just do things right ? Lol
Trace the wires back to wherever they came from. It could be for a fog light kit or something else. I could be a wire from an automatic harness not used on a manual car
On a swapped car we cant tell you just by looking. I can tell you every connector on a d-series in the engine bay and interior.
Looks and sound like a big *** headache. If it were me I would rip all the wiring out and replace them back to stock. I hate sh*t thats all cut up and wires not used for the proper gauge. 🤦♂️
Yep that's the plan. Thankfully I have a family owned scrap yard, this rat's nest is coming out. And I'm getting a new/used unbutchered harness. Even the vtec solenoid wire was cut and I can't find the plug in the harness.
