2000 Honda Civic will only push start
Hey guys. New to the site so correct me if I’m posting this on the wrong spot but I have a 2000 civic sir with a b20b non-vtec and about a month ago I had some issues with my main relay. I didn’t know that at the time so I got the local mechanic to take a look at it. Somehow he diagnosed it as a distributor issue and An ecu issue as I could only get down the road before it died on me. (ecu was in bad condition at the time). and completely re built my distributor. When he still couldn’t get it going I brought it back home and borrowed my Honda buddy’s ecu witch was a PHK and got him to re do my distributor(the right way) and put in a new thermostat as well as a main relay. now the car will only start when given heavy gas. Or when it’s really cold. When pushed to start and when it does start is in limp mode. I was r running a obd1 p75 ecu with a jumper to obd2 before. But It now throws a ckp sensor code even after the bypass and is stuck in limp mode. Bought a pr4 the other day to see if that was all it needed and it will not start at all with that. Would love suggestions. Thanks!
Wrong forum, but that's OK. I would recommend you just buy a new distributor - it sounds like that is your issue. Duralast Gold brand from Auto Zone is lifetime warranty.
I've already reported it, hopefully they move him to 92-00. I've always been pretty impressed with the quality of Duralast, even the ball joints and stuff.
