Steering wheel play, perpendicular to rotation axis.
Steering wheel play, perpendicular to rotation axis.
My steering wheel has play, but not rotationally. I can pull it towards myself and push it back and it clunks. The car is setup as follows:
-2000 EM1
-EG manual steering subframe and rack
-factory steering column and wheels
It’s fairly obvious that the play is coming somewhere from the column or the steering wheel mount itself but I’ve taken apart and re assembled to no avail. Has anyone had this problem and succeeded in solving? Or any advice for solving?
