hi everyone I'm new to the page so idk how this works on getting help

my car isn't turning on it isn't turning over either idk what it can be

I had the car for about 4 years now I maintained it the best I could

I have replaced the motor oil (castrol gtx high mileage 5w30) my car has 280xxx
I have replaced the oil filter (oem honda filter)
I have replaced the spark plugs (NGK)
They car also got a 50/50 radiator flush (Prestone)
^ I replaced months ago way before this issue I have now ^

I have replaced the spark plugs wires with some brand that I could find at the time (BREMIUM 7mm)
^ I replace it about a year ago ^

I have bought a new battery on November of 2018

thinking it was the starter I went and I also bought a new starter because the old one went bad and still isn't doing anything

all fuses are good and I think the main relay is good to idk how to check if its any good so I have 2 of the main relays and swapped them and with both of them it does the same thing and I opened them and they look good not burnt or anything but im not sure which is the main relay im assuming is the grey large box under the dash

the cluster temp and gas gauge had stopped working so I bought new both ECT UNIT SENSOR and the ECT SENSOR (both oem honda) because I thought that is why but still nothing but I noticed the RPM gauge wasn't working either and when I turn the key to turn the car on the Drive light will turn on with the cluster and turn off right after and the parking light turns on with the old cluster

so I figured it might be the whole cluster so I bought one used because I cant afford a new one the one I just purchased its from and LX not from EX idk if it makes any differnce now the mph gauge when I put the switch on jumps to 20

after all of this the car isn't turning on at all just doesn't do anything I turn the key and all the lights on the dash turn on as they should including the radio I hear a click noise coming from like the middle of the dash right now I have the cover that is on the dash that has the temperature control unit with the vents off bc I removed it to get to the cluster well from in there I hear a clicking noise and idk what that means

oh the check engine code that comes up is 2 long blinks and 1 blink and 2 long blinks and 2 fast blinks after

anyone has any ideas ?! maybe a sensor ?! can someone give me some ideas on it please lmk thanx

 

It sounds like your ignition switch isn't working. The key has allow 12V to go over to the starter. If that 12V isn't reaching the starter, you will get nothing when turning the key.

Is your Accord automatic or manual transmission? If AT, try starting it with shifter in the Neutral position.

its automatic and I tried turning it on in every gear just to see but I still get nothing

 

I just tried it again with the shifter on neutral just to try my luck it still does the same thing … im stuck I even pop the ignition switch out and tried to turning on the car with a flat head and still does the same thing … the car has an aftermarket car alarm can that be it ?! its been the same alarm the car has had since I got it is it possible the alarm box went bad ?!

 

Do yourself a favor and remove the aftermarket alarm, they are nothing but problems, this would be a good start and see if it runs

 

hey everyone I got good news … my car started !!! it was the aftermarket alarm I guess they go bad after 5 years, I spent money on things I thought I needed but its ok because I needed a new starter anyways … THANX TO @fonkernuckle for telling me to remove the alarm
