Default boostedsohc95 Troubleshooting Tuning issue: D16Z6 is Running "rich"

Just looking for some opinions as this isnt my first build, but I cant seem to figure this out. D16Z6 boosted, running 10psi its a vitara/eagle rod build stock head. Its broke in has been for a couple weeks now but anything over 30% throttle it runs so rich afr is below 10.0 wont even read. Its also on the stock 240cc injectors currently. Put a new set in same thing. Have changed harness to make sure the injector plugs weren't shorting out. And before boost it hesitates for a second not like turbo lag but hesitates I'm assuming due to being so rich. At idle the afrs are perfect 14.7-15.0 even while driving and this is the same wideband I used on my last build. Any thoughts?

Update my buddy end up suggesting to replace the fpr im running a aem fpr, i only had a stock one laying around and that fixed the issue. Boost hits properly & isn't rich anymore. Im just gonna take it easy on the motor until i get another adjustable fpr

Usually the stock one is fine to use no need for those fancy things! I actually got pulled over and my AEM FPR was the reason I got a reff ticket!! I didn't even need it I just had it cause I was one of those people who thought I needed one. Im under 350 HP and still have my stock FPR. Theres people making 700+hp on the stock fpr probably not a good idea at that HP level but under 500Hp I say its completely fine. They are more reliable as well, That's Honda for you!. But its up to you if you think you need it.

very interesting, I've heard its 50/50 some people say stay with factory some say get an adjustable one. I guess its like you said go with what ya feel. As long as i dont have issues or a tuner tell me i need one guess ill stay with factory

Open up the AEM regulator and check and see if the diaphragm inside is torn/split... I have seen multiple AEM FPR's have this type of failure. In addition, just recently, I had the same type of failure (and the same symptoms that you had described above OP) with my Holley FPR. When the diaphragm tears, raw fuel gets sucked directly into the intake manifold through the vacuum hose connected to the FPR.

A stock one will work in your application.

^^ This. One of the main reasons I did not go with the AEM regulator. Hit or miss; prone to torn diaphragm. As mentioned, the stock regulator will work perfectly for you. I used my stock reg in the first build and was over 300whp.
I see you had posted the reg swap cured the issue. Keep it stock!
