So after 8 months of buying parts and working 20+ hours of overtime a week it finally payed off..I got my car out the shop this morning..ls/vtec turbo..I'm new to the whole turbo scene so i got some newbie questions..

The motor is running rich so i tried not to drive it too much since i need to tune it but i was just wondering why the motor would begin to break up when i passed 3k rpm's? could it be because its running rich or the distributor?

Also I'm using a Koyo radiator and the resovior doesn't fit in the way it did when the car was stock, any suggestions on what to do about it?

What oil pressure should I be seeing during idle?

setup please...engine management...whole nine before anyone can begin to tell you what's going on..

well if its untuned, and only happening at over 3k...im going to say you are running lean and not rich, rich at idle mayhaps, lean under boost....but yeah we need some more specs, management, injectors, full setup?

i see around 22psi for idle oil pressure, sometimes as low as 18.

Found the problem, i got it street tuned yesterday afternoon and turns out i was running way too rich which messed up the spark plugs, i threw in a set of ngk bkr7e's and we street tuned to 8psi, runs pretty good but i believe something mite still be wrong, after about 10 pulls in boost on the highway or street(nothing harsh) the plugs turn a little black and the car hesitates in boost, any suggestions? maybe still running a bit too rich?
