Default Running Super Rich!!

Well my car is in the process of being tuned because of fuel issues. But anyways i have a turbo on my car and have been running super rich in every gear to the point where it sputters really bad then once boost hits, leans out and runs ok. I was wondering if this will really hurt my motor. My afrs are pretty much 10.0 and like 11.2 under boost. My plugs are completely black and just running like that a couple of days until i can get some more dyno time. Is running that rich that bad for my motor?

list your setup. are you running a basemap for your larger injectors or do you just expect the car to "figure it out?"

Gt35r kit with AEM EMS with a basemap, but set super rich. 1000 injectors.

Fully Built GSR.

hmm...i'm not the authority on built engines and whatnot, but i have heard in the past that running uber rich can wash out the rings. Whether or not thats true is beyond me...

bump for more answers

That's generally the idea on a freshly built motor, but not one that's been broken in sufficiently.

edit: nm that last part, I misread.
