I've been a tech for 19 yrs so I have experience working on cars. I bought a donor '03 crv for the k24a1 to build and I'm looking at building it NA for as close to 300hp as I can.

I'm getting an idea of how to build the block but not sure on the head. I'm trying to find info on the head that comes on the a1, if it's worth building or should I try and find one off an a2 or other model.
Would I need to use the ecu from the crv or can I use the ecu from what ever vehicle I end up putting this in
and on that note, could I put this in a 06+ civic or would it have to be an 03 model?
Lastly, will any manual trans bolt up? Hoping for a 6 spd from an Si

I've been googling and trying to read/watch about k-swaps but they don't always go into detail on what they had to do to get the engine in a specific car. I did watch a good video on a k-swapped 05 civic that had a lot of good info. I think that was the one where the guy used a subframe from an RSX.

Any tips or links I can read up on are appreciated.
