RS > GSR upgrades/Question
Hi everyone,
After many years of waiting I finally have enough cash to upgrade my '94 Integra RS. I've already ordered a B18C + transaxle and associated conversion parts, and am now turning to the suspension and wheels/tires. My goal is to do mild upgrades that don't make the car look too different from stock. That means I want to keep the ride height as close to stock as possible.
Here are my questions:
1. Anyone running stock shocks/springs with upgraded sway bars? How does it drive?
I am looking at buying a 25 mm OEM Type R sway bar for the front and the 24 mm ASR rear with subframe brace.
2. Anyone running the BFGoodrich G-Force Sport Comp-2 195/55R15s?
Curious to know how they ride/handle etc. I don't drive much (less than 75 miles a week) so I'm not too concerned about tire wear.
3. 15" Spare tire?
What do folks do for the spare tire?
4. Shock/spring upgrades?
If I want to keep pretty close to stock ride height, what's a good spring/shock combo? I've dug through the archives here and seen a lot of discussion about coilovers for track use or really lowering the car. That's cool but I think I want to keep close to the stock ride height.
Thanks!

As far as keeping stock height but getting some performance, you can still technically buy new OEM Type R springs over at amayama.com. but if you're not looking at spending $300-400 on those then check out the H&R oe Sport springs. They only lower by about 0.75"-1.00 from what I hear.
Type R springs with koni yellows or bilstein sports are a good combo that is streetable, yet have decently high limits. But an OTS koni/gc kit isn't bad and you can adjust the height close to stock ride height.
I think you would be ok with the stock 22mm sway bar or a GSR/US ITR 24mm sway bar, those should be cheap and easy to find used. I don't think the premium on the jdm 25mm bar is worth it.
The Comp2s are good for everyday use, but I would get the conti extreme contact sport in 205/50/15. I still have a donut spare with the ITR front brakes, I havent test fitted them, but my plan was if I needed to use the spare was to move a rear tire to the front.

I've only used kyb GR2s on a 7th gen, they ride fine, but made the car sit higher than stock in the rear, but I would still go with a koni or bilstein for a budget shock that is still sporty
Thanks everyone for the info.
Amayama tells me that Showa no longer makes the ITR springs and has no plans for more production runs.
Looks like I'll be going with the Ground Control kit
https://groundcontrolstore.com/colle...imited-edition
I'll have to dig around and find the ITR spring rates and just have them supply me with as close to that as they can, since their website says they make the springs custom?
Edit: According to this link the ITR had 250F/250R spring rates, so I'll see what GC can do to approximate that.

You could probably still get used ITR suspension from JDM importers, the shocks could be tired and worn out, but the springs would probably be fine.
I think the OTS GC kit is 350/280 range. And you can get the car to sit at stock ride height. Though the used GC OTS kit I bought locally seems to feel a lot stiffer in the rear on my EK coupe than my ITR/bilstein setup on my DC
