Integra Lateral Gs of .80
Car and Driver measured the 1997 GS-R sedan with a roadholding of .80g., which I think is bad for stock. I want to trade my car in for a miata, which stock can handle .88g Why does our handling (stock) sucks? I really don't want to spend $1,000+ for a coilover system, so a good spring/shock combo is more in my area. Does anyone know how much it would improve on my car with the basic spring/shock combo with a tower strut bar? Would it go from a .80 to a .85 maybe? I read an old issue on Sport Compact Car about the G-games. An Integra Type-R measured at .91 which I'd be happy. An NSX has a roadholding of .90 I think. Which by the way I rode in a friend's NSX and he demonstrated the handling on some tight roads (I practically nutted as he swung around corners like a rollercoaster).
My question is, would it be possible to reach that feeling in my GS-R and do I have to spend $1,000+ to do it? I'm thinking it's only possible if I swap all my suspension parts for a type-r and get a really expensive coilover setup. In my dreams. .

Buy some good tires, the stockers suck a$$. ALso, if you are on a budget, get some ITR shocks/springs and rear sway.

a miata??
i dont care if the miata pulled .90g's i still wouldnt buy one...
if you want something to purely handle.... get a mp3 they do the slalom faster then a Z06... which still seems fishy to me
