I've bought a p28 ecu in ebay and asked to the seller for a p30 EDM version stock map, because my car is EDM

So, received the ecu and car has an oscilating idle when it's cold and it's rolling

when car is stopped idles just fine, and when it's warm is perfect

ECU is throwing the code 20 ELD; but my car doesn't have ELD

To discard any issue with idle valves etc, I've tried a p30 ecu and car runs perfectly

so, where is the problem? is the ecu or the chip?

pd. my car is a civic b16 100% stock edm version 95 year

Ask seller if he can disable the ELD

 

OP, a change in the program will require a re-burn or replacement chip. Contact the seller as tony suggested and see what they can do to correct the issue.

I've contacted the seller and he says that it could be something wrong with the ECU or the car; but with your info I've pushed him to check and solve the issue

So, we'll meet on friday

just had an awful discussion with the tunner; and he was arguing that it's a problem related to the timing; or some component related to ignition, he was persistingly saying that chip nothing was wrong with the chip

So, what are my options now? is there a way to correct the issue without getting a different chip? I think idle is being affected for the lack of ELD; which my car doesn't have and the map of the chip is looking for the ELD

What a ****** loser seller....return and buy from a different seller. He's not willing to eat the shipping cost thats why.

^^ This.. If you paid by paypal, this can be settled pretty easily. Start return on Ebay. When you click on that from your recent purchase area, there should be a button with more options (ebay mobile). Click more options, then you should see return, and return available until ____ date. Hit that return button. I believe ebay has fixed the return stuff now where it is MUCH easier.
