B16 head b20 block vtec oil feed line installment?
Hey guys how’s it going I’ve been having trouble lately, with installing my oil feed line. I have a b16 head and b20 block.... i know there’s two ways to do this it’s either “sandwich plate” which I’ve already tried and for some reason it leaked a lot now I going with 2nd option which is “using t-fitting” and I really need a guide on this like a picture guide? And steps on what I need to buy to make this work? I was watching some videos on YouTube and they all don’t really explain really well.. I know in one of the videos they tap a hole into the head then plug it up? And I’m not sure if I should be doing that to my b16 head because it’s a vtec head and the dude in the video was using a b20 head.. but yeah if anyone can tells me what brass fittings to buy It would be a great help
I never liked the Tee option, I know it works and all that but if you used a cheap no name sandwich plate thats probably why it leaked.
If the tee is the route you wanna take...
Honda LS/VTEC Oil Line Kit - Fast-Turbo.com
or
LS/VTEC Oil Line Kit
the oil supply hole on the bottom of the head has to be tapped and plugged, otherwise youll have a huge oil leak and no oil to the head.
personally though I just use a sandwich kit, golden eagle makes a really nice one, I use it on my B20V and have absolutely no issue.

Option #3: Purchase the MVM "LS/Vtec System" which uses the oil pump primary port directly to feed the cylinder head. It comes with the oil pump fitting, '90 4AN male, appropriate 4AN braided line for your cylinder head/intake manifold combination, and the proper adapter to replace the 5/16" pipe plug on the head itself. You will need to provide a tight fitting alternator belt (this system takes up some of the alternator's adjustment swing, so you want a belt that needs to be "walked on" in the shortest adjustment position for proper tension.
