Default Pros and cons of a tucked headlight harness?

What are the pros and cons of wire tucking on these cars? I have my harnesses out of my Civic right now, so if I’m going to do any tucking, this seems like the time if it gets done.

On the passenger side, it looks like the under hood fuse and relay box can be brought inside and maybe sort of live in the glove box while the A/C, fan, and horn connector can run out near the door hinge, up through the fender, and around to the fans, etc. The connector for the EVAP purge solenoid (?) can just be neatly tied out of the way since there is no EVAP canister on this car.

On the driver’s side, it looks like those connectors can follow a similar path with respect to the driver’s side.

Why would it give me a hard time with troubleshooting wiring issues?

Remove fenders to have to trace wires for continuity and breaks?

Each harness would have an easily accessible connector in the interior near where they exit and each would also have one near the headlights. That way, popping off the bumper would give relatively easy access to those. They could then be disconnected inside the car and near the headlights and checked for continuity without pulling the fenders.

not everyone is going to do a wire tuck like you're thinking.

Right, which is why I felt like I should explain how I plan to do it, if I do.

Just wait till you hit a few puddles lol

In all respect your type of tuck doesn’t sound like you’d have a lot of problems down the road. Sounds like you know some good wiring bits

Well, after looking at a lot of different styles of tucking online, it looks like some people just don’t know or didn’t think of certain things that seemed like common sense, and they had problems because of how they did them. I guess I’m learning from their mistakes and have learned a lot more about wire wrapping than when this project started. It’s better to learn from the bad experiences of others than to have those experiences yourself.

I'm "wiring savy" and I wouldn't want to do any wire tucks in my car. Too much of a hassle especially when I don't want people to see what's under the hood anyways. Defeats the purpose in my case. LOL
