Vtec, Alternator, & Speedometer. I need some help!
I recently purchased a $900 **** box (97 civic hatch). With a jdm b18c, skunk2 intake manifold, whale ***** intake pipe, and the header i put on which is a 1320 side exit, the original header and exhaust were complete crap with holes through out cause the previous owners I’m going to say had it so friggin low. When I brought the car home the harness was a huge mess with twisted wires and electrical tape all over it, there was a wire going from the fuse box on the inside of the car to the alternator to get 12 volts to stay on constantly and charge the battery, at the time I didn’t know why or what it was for. So the car runs and drives fine for the most part but my speedometer does not work, my alternator does not come on to charge, and when I do get on it hard it bogs down till I let off or if I roll into vtec easily it will engage but soon throws a code for the vtec pressure switch. But once I remove the battery cable and clear the codes the car runs and drives fine until vtec engages again. I replaced the engine harness with another new / used oem harness thinking my problems would go away but it’s still the same. The car is running on a chipped P28 (map unknown). I have replaced the ELD (electronic load detector) which controls the alternator to turn on and off. And yes I’ve checked all my fuses to make sure everything is good there.
i’m kinda at a loss and need come help.
I’m sure there’s some other things I forgot to mention so if you have any questions please ask or any insight on what it could be I appreciate it.

Could be a corrupt map? You could try cutting J1 in the ECU to revert back to the stock P28 map - it won't be ideal for the B18C, but it may let you know if the chip is corrupt. Or you could always have someone burn a stock P72 map for you and swap in that chip. This won't solve all the problems you're having, though.
