Hey guys so I'm having a problem with my 92 civic. When I'm in neutral and step on the gas I car doesn't rev up quick let it takes it a few seconds and comes up slowly. Also when I drive if I don't have my rpms up at about 2500-3000 my car will take off slow. The tps is relatively new. The only thing I've tried so far was to rev the car up from the engine bay and the same thing happens, car revs up slowly. If you guys have had any experience like these or have any suggestions please let me know

 

what brand is tps?
ebay brand x and blox (and likely others) are junk.
i'm running a dorman atm which is doing well.
all of them drift out of spec easily if not torqued down enough.
get bolts and get them tight.

 

i had similiar issue with a fuel pump thay was kicking the bucket, would accelerate and nothing would happen that would eventually start to increase RPM

 

To be honest I think it is an eBay sensor 😅

 

Fuel pump is relatively new as well

 

Have you checked the distributor and mechanical timing ??? A severely retarded timing issue will make the engine very sluggish.

 

Distributor is new as well. Could be timing idk when the last time it was checked
