PLEASE HELP just got a new daily and it broke down
So today I traded my truck for a 2000 Civic ex I test drove the car previously and it seemed like everything was in order. On the way home from the trade, after running and shifting fine and smooth, I all of a sudden noticed I was losing power accelerating on the on ramp. I had to pedal to floor and to speed was dropping. I downshifted to try and get some more *** behind her but still it slowed and I pulled over. I turned the car off and went to start it back up and low and behold. No crank no start. I get it towed home and I'm messing with it. As soon is I get it home and try to turn it on it turns right over but was idling rough and really low and seemed to want to stall. I tried to drive it again and it was sluggish and had no responsiveness until it finally did stall when I stopped to turn around and then wouldn't start again not even a crank. It seems as though it will crank and start if I leave it for a while but it then runs rough and idles low and stalls then won't crank or start again. I was looking into it, thought it may be the ignition switch because I have to jiggle the hell out of the key to even turn it to on then I started thinking ignition control module then I though crankshaft positioning sensor. it seems alot of these could be the issue but I'm having trouble finding a diagnoses that exactly fits the symptoms I'm having and starting to think the issue of the rough idle and intermittent starting May be separate problems. I hope not but I would appreciate any insight anyone has on this
Check your main relay to the fuel pump underneath driver side. Looks like a rectangle box. Check the contact points to see if they’re still clean and not burnt looking.
I got another one and it didn't change nothing. The check engine light came back on this morning from when I disconnected the battery tho, so I think I'm going to get a code reader and see what she's throwing
Get us that code and we ll try and help narrow it down what it is.
The code it threw was a p1359 it's saying online it's the crankshaft position sensor or top dead center sensor but I'm leaning towards crankshaft position sensor. Its the only code it threw though

I had already got another one as I thought the main relay may have been the problem, made sure I could return it if it wasn't and I did
timing belt...
I take that back, youre probably confusing a crank/no crank situation because you have a 1359 cel. that not keep you from cranking.

I actually looked it up and if it is the crankshaft positioning sensor it said it can cause starting issues or no start at all if it fails completely. If it can't send the timing of the crank the PCM won't send fuel through the injectors
So to cut to the problem, you can try replacing the distributor cap and rotor and wires and plugs just like you would on a car with no maintenance records.
If that doesn't work then I would assume fuel issues. You can rent a fuel pressure test gauge at any auto parts stores
There is no cam position sensor on a distributor. By definition the distributor is driven by the camshaft
