Default RPM meter is inaccurate after swap

I had swap GSR to the JDM EG9

That's about 6500 rpm show on RPM meter when Vtec Kick in, the tuner told me my Rpm meter is inaccurate to the ECU reading.
anybody got any method to solve the rpm different between the meter and ecu?

Thanks

It was probably off before too. They mostly are, especially now that they are approaching 30 years old.

There was a tutorial about recalibrating one recently, let me see if I can find it.
