Default Overheating problem

Have a over heating problem. Replaced the radiator, all the hoses, both fans, thermostat, fan control sensor, heat engine sensor, water pump about 6 months ago. Checked engine for blown gasket with a test block that’s not the issue. Car keeps on overheating and when I turn off the car and leave the car on without starting the car check engine light comes on blinking 4 times and de sappers. Anyone might now the problem? I can’t seem to find the problem.

Model , year , engine and mileage would help . See what that code is could be an air pocket . ps Things should be tested before replacing so that you don't spend money needlessly .

I have 2 CIVICS , 02 & 04 , THE 04 has had over heating issues as well and if I were to purge an air pocket I would disconnect the heater hose from behind the thermostat and put it in a container of water , then hook another hose from where you took it off and get a shop vac and suck it up .This is what I'm going to do with mine if the leak down test doesn't show a head gasket problem . We had over heating issues with it , they may have been minor at one time but getting hot is not on the FUN list for any motor . A compression test came out o.k. for my civic but there's still over heating after it drives about 50 miles , and there's some sludge under the rad. cap . There should be goop under the oil fill cap if the head gasket is blown but there's isn't , but I've been wrong before . And if that's the case I shouldn't be able to drive 10 miles with a blown head gasket . At any rate even a head gasket job on a car with that many miles isn't worth it because with the damage done and amount of work involved you may as well rebuild or replace the entire drive train if the body isn't rotted out . If you have the ambition , love of the vehicle and a place to tear it down then go for it , cost is comparable to new far as I'm concerned .

Make sure the heat is powered on high to open up that loop , you'll see the valve against the fire wall

Thanks. It seem that my transmission was over heating. Low fluid and also took out the air pockets out of the system. So far so good. It hasn’t over heat at all.

If you found low coolant that means the system is leaking somewhere.
You must find the leak and fix it or risk overheating the engine and blowing a head gasket in the future.

if you change the fans there is possible problem the a/c fun can sometimes on and off while driving and stay off that because of wiring issue that take 2 days or 1 hour to fix depend.
