Default Help w/ slicks please....

Hey guys I want to buy some slicks over the winter for next years season would you guys be able to tell me what the best size would be for my 96 vtec? I'm hopeing these will land me in the high 13's next year. Suggestions on companies and sizes would be great. Also will they fit on my stock 15" vtec rims? how small or big in rim size can I go? I'm really clueless on this subject.thx in advance...

Default slicks...........or drag radials?

What is the setup you are running? If it is just simple bolt-ons, i would suggest running the bfg g-force drag radial. they are awesome and come in a 205/50/15. I haven't gotten to test them on the lude yet, but you air them down to 12-14 psi, and haul *** out of the whole. If you are running FI or big shot on the bottle, go with a slick like GudeH23a.

Built N/A H22.. Everything from stage 2 cams, pistons,valves,hondata. Over 200whp N/A I think slicks would help me cuz my best 60ft was a 2.23 and I ran a 14.2 @ 99.6 mph.... I really think I can run 13's w slicks don't want anything else.

that pic is from about 2 years ago, you guys know you love the visor!!! i got mine from a local shop, try posting in the drag racing forum. those guys know where to find good deals on micky t's. the slicks helped me cut a 1.9 60ft time, they are worth every penny.

im using those slicks in my car, they get me in the high thirteens... my 60 ft times are in the low 1.9's, under the right conditions, 1.8's are definitely possible with these slicks...

for my next set, i want to try and fit mt's new size, 24.5x8 for my 15 inch wheels...

Thanks for the feedback guys. I think I'll try those. I guess I'll have to find out if the 24.5 fit? What kinda pressure do you run them at...?

i've got some nitto NT555R Drag radial, 225/50 16, or are the 215/60 16, damn i can't remember... anyways, when the only have like 12psi in them they are pretty good, but at like 20psi+, they suck

I have also used the 22" MT's... They work well for n/a apps, but I would not reccomend them for high power use, they are too small. I am going to look for some 24 or 25"s .

I run my 22's at 11-12psi. I only used them when I was n/a. They help my 60', but hurt my top end and mph. It's a give and take with slicks though.

IMHO 24.5's are the way to go...I had 22's on itr wheels that I used on both my hatch and prelude, they were good for the n/a hatch but killed the mph when I used them on the prelude. MT just started making a 24.5 for a 15" rim...m&h used to be the only option. I picked up a pair from the MT trailer at englishtown last month, when I finally put my motor back in we'll see the difference.

slicks are for people who can't build a car fast enough.
