Default Boosted D16 build street car

Hello everyone I'm new here and building my first car. So currently it is a d16y7 with a y8 head going into a 96 coupe. Full engine overhaul was bored out to whatever the first upsize is. Typical vitara eagle rod combo with ACL race main bearings. Super tech springs and retainers with ferrea valves. Stage 2 cam oem water pump, oem oil pump drilled and bored out for more oil pressure, CX racing turbo kit and Mfactor lsd. Just wanted to get opinions on this setup and how realiable it will be. Horsepower end goal is roughly 400whp but wouldn't be dailying it at 400 thats just my power goal. Just looking to make a cool sleeper and nice daily. Also how are the transmissions? Some people say they hold up others say you'll be going through trannys left and right. manual 5 speed no auto bs

Look in the Forced Induction section - there are a few D-series threads in there. Hitting the number will depend on what size turbo you are running. The S20's supposedly break shift forks since they are cast aluminum, and the S40's are supposed to be less prone to that, but I'm guessing that's for folks drag racing and slamming through gears. I've heard of folks blowing out 3rd gear also, but Whoopee Doo Racing offers custom gears that are supposedly stronger than stock.

Exactly I'm not to worried about blowing the trans unless I'm pushing it to the max. Also I bought a stage 4 clutch because from what I've read a lot of people have slipping issues with stage 3's but is the stage 4 gonna be suitable for daily driving? It's a completion clutch stage 4 6-puck sprung disc.

I'm daily driving on that clutch (sprung) and I think it's fine. It's a little heavier than stock, but it's not too grabby.

If you want a strong reliable clutch with good pedal feel, I would suggest an ACT HD/SS kit. I've always had good experience with them and they can withstand daily abuse.
