I have recently purchased a 93 civic hatch to build a dirt track race car.. the car is k swap ready with ek mounts welded in place. Has anyone ever seen or heard of this combination and if any problems with this set up.
As long as the engine is secured and the welds are good I’d say rock it. Look up other similar swaps and verify engine location and axle geometry. If it looks good start driving it and adding power. Maybe remove hood and film engine movement if you’re worried it won’t hold up.
Just reinforce the welds, and then chassis while you’re at it. I absolutely love the dirt track idea.i recently swapped shocks and it raised me 1/8 an inch on a b20b eg hatch. Super sleeper plus terrain access! Give me a year or so and that flywheel dirt cover and I’ll definitely take this baby off road. Civics are fun as hell to slide around and dry fast on gravel / dirt. Just need forgiving components.
Any off road fun yet buddy? I had a ex coupe and it was a blast to rock off road. Although those cables on my hatch have trouble locking up. I hope to see some videos or pics! All these honda enthusiasts lose their **** when you don’t slam the car and do other typical things.
MAN I got a whole bar kit for $80 (upper strut tower and lower tie bars), Acura integra sway bar and lower control arms, and a billet aluminum brace for about $60. Those extra bars and these Gabriel ultraready shocks make this car feel really solid on muddy uneven terrain. Those shocks are for all models civic and integra so they did me a lot of good with then VX hatch only being 2094.my couplenwas 2443 and it still did well. If you get stuck in snow just reverse her on outta there now
