DO NOT WELD IT ON. They should be direct fit. If it isn't, you bought the wrong part.

They make weld on quick releases for what I’m doing with the car I can not use the cheap bolt on styles or even the nrg brand stuff it need to be a weld on quick release. It’s in the rules at the track I’m racing the car at thanks but I figured it out by my self like I have every other time I post something on here.

when you don't post enough info about what you're wanting to know, no one is going to give you the advice you're looking for

You didn't actually provide all the information, you skipped that it's a track car, you skipped that it's the rule set. This leaves the door wide open for others to think you are going a way less desirable for a daily driver. You even failed to provide the year, make and model of car. Is this even a Honda that is being discussed? Yes we get other vehicles here that Honda motors are put into. This is all information that should be known for accurate advise to be given.

I understand your perspective but you don't have the same wisdom of this site the long time regulars that help here do. If you are around awhile you will notice there is a significant amount of non knowledgeable people (usually younger) that come here and wreck the cars for naught. Or they post requests for information without providing needed information or.... And the list goes on and on.

You may think the regulars here are being obtuse but usually it's history making itself known.

I'm sorry you are not as aware of that history.

I mean I did post into the 1992-2000 civic /del sol thread I get everything you are saying also but I gave the info I needed to know diameter measurement of the steering shaft column I get I didn’t put year make and model and all that but like I said I posted this in the 92-00 civic/del sol thread so thought that was plenty self explanatory.. guess not and you’re right i don’t know the history but I’ve been here a couple times now for help and each time it’s something along this line I give info needed ask my question and nothing but no big deal I got it figured out you’re only argument is I forgot to mention it’s a track car but that to me isn’t needed to know info all I needed to know was shaft diameter of the steering column for a 92-00 civic

And still if you’d like to say you didn’t have all the info, now you do and yet I still have no answer and like I said it’s this every time all this beating around the bush for no reason to still not get an answer is nothing but a waste of time and effort for this site to be used

haha...I'm an internet mechanic? Good one dude. FYI, I've been wrenching on Hondas probably before you were even conceived. But since you seem to know more than me or anyone else on this forum, I will let you work on it yourself.

i don't understand why you need measurements when they sell specific quick releases for civics themselves. There is no universal quick release for all cars.

Because as I have said if you would read everything you’d know why instead of reading half and just jumping the gun and trying to be smart I have mentioned it is a circle track car and can not use the bolt on style quick release and they actually do make universal quick releases for all cars that you weld on to the steering column just need to know the steering column shaft diameter but sorry you know best as everyone else in this group ask for help and it’s nothing but y’all saying and doing everything but helping lol but also like I said I have figured it out already thanks for your input 🤣

All I get from this thread is that you wish to be combative to others. I'm closing the thread because of this suspicion.

If you have another technical question, please start a new thread and follow the rules sticky at the top of the forum.

Thank you.
