Advice Swapping 97 del sol si auto trans to b16a3 manual trans
I just got a nice 97 del sol si shell, it was a d16y8 with auto trans. I have a completely rusted out 94 vtec model b16a3 with manual trans. I would like to swap the complete manual b16a3 setup into the nice 97 shell. It seems like a few different issues to tackle at once, auto to manual conversion, ob2 to obd1, d series to b series. Ive never done an engine swap and dont want to get in over my head. From what I read on here it sounds like I need a special mount for the auto to manual swap. But I'm also going from d series to b series, Is there a different mount? Will the ecu from the 94 plug in or can I get a connector harness? Do I need to swap the steering column, or under dash wiring. Will the manual linkage bolt in without modification? I should basically have all the parts since I have a complete donor car except for the one transmission mount.
Hasport has an auto to manual mount for the pass. side.
No need to swap steering column or under dash harness.
Manual linkage will bolt up after you drill out the provisions, I’ll post up some pics from my Integra auto to manual adventure in a bit.

for the passenger side mount is there a difference between d series and b series auto to manual mount because on ebay they look the same

Thank you HASPORT for answering my question really apprecate it since I am learning as I go. For the negative comments what can I say its ohio and every car has rust. The green del sol is actually nearly rust free underneath although has some dents and dings and its a 97 and the interior is nice. The red one the brake and clutch lines rusted out, the gas tank rusted through and couldnt even put a jack under it it would just disintegrate so it is defititely an improvement. I haven.t done a motor swap before or auto to manual so Im learning and asking questions as I go and why not just be helpful or say nothing.

Secondly, people are going to be negative (I have no beef against NVturbo, so this isn’t directed at him), it’s a thing. You gotta learn how to humbly take the good and the bad in things for balanced character growth, and you will benefit from any comments.
Finally, I’m still kind of a noob to Hondas, so I understand where you’re coming from. There’s a lot I don’t know about the best way to do some things, so I research a lot, too, before asking questions. But the first Honda swap I did was swapping out a D and putting a B back in its place, and it was an auto to manual conversion. I learned a lot there.
First off Hasport is awesome!
