Good ole` "My car won't crank"
I'll try making this one succinct for you guys.
I swapped in a b20 into my integra, and the starter won't crank and is instead making one loud clicking sound, as if the solenoid is functioning properly.
- Has New battery, negative and positive leads are both very loose and definitely need to be replaced HOWEVER I have been running them for many many years, they were cranking the motor fine the very day prior
- Took it to O'reilly = Tested twice and worked fine
- Checked grounds = They all look not only fine, but I tightened them well and nothing about them has changed from my last motor to this one.
- Jumper cable to starter = Thing makes one loud click, just like when I try starting it, and nothing else happens.
- New Starter = Loud click, nothing happens.
- New ignition switch = Loud click, nothing happens
Mind you the starter WAS FUNCTIONING and cranking the motor just fine, however, when my car wouldn't start I guess that I needed new spark plugs (plugs were from JDM B20 swap, spark/fuel have been verified functioning properly before having the cranking issues) and the very next day I took out my old plugs, went to crank the car since they were wet with fuel (to drain out gas from cylinders), and nothing but that loud click.
And yes, before you say "well duh its the terminals st000pid" I have LITERALLY been holding them to metal while trying to start this mother-------r, and I think my understanding of metal touching metal is reasonable enough to know these shouldn't be my issue. That's not to say you can't suggest it of course, but you gotta understand just how pissed I am after feeling like I've been through the wringer with all of this bullshit. I even went as far as wiring in this fkn ignition switch that required a bunch of wiring to get it to work with my viper alarm system (and no, all of these issues including diagnosis of more likely culprits were ruled out before going here). After getting the wiring done finally and the car still not cranking, welp, I'm livid.

check starter signal voltage, check transmission ground, check that the starter bolts are tight to ensure its getting a good ground from the transmission, check voltage wire that goes to the battery.
Thanks for the suggestion, however, the motor was cranking just fine two days in a row (first night engine was in but had old battery I assumed wasn't powerful enough to start it, next day i replaced the battery and it was still cranking fine). Wasn't until the day after getting a new battery that I was able to get some new plugs, pulled the old ones (soaked with fuel from trying to start day prior), so I went to crank the motor and then the fun began (no cranking ever). Engine was fully primed with oil right after install as well.
i'd still try turning it over by hand. Maybe also remove the plugs and try again, you mentioned fuel soaked plugs. I've seen ecu's go bad and flood engines to the point of hydro-lock.
