Icon5 Aftermarket exhaust help!!! Can't make a decision!!!

I've got a 99 accord coupe with the f23a1. and the previous owner decided to cut the cat out WITH the flanges and let the O2 sensor hang and replaced it with a random piece of pipe. so now I've got to replace the entire exhaust system. I'm having ALOT of confusion of what to replace the exhaust with I've already decided on what header Im gonna get (Megan racing header) but I'm confused at what cat back exhaust to get? I dont want something thats gonna sound ricey and raspy, not so loud that it wakes a dead horse but comfortably loud. this is the start to my first "build" so any help is GREATLY appreciated!!

Do you have a few that you are trying to decide between? If you can narrow it down a bit or let people know what is making it difficult to decide, you might find more feedback.

For example, my only advice--and it probably doesn't apply to you at all--is avoid the Bosal resonator with flex segment. I regret going with Bosal for my cat-back system... but I wasn't going for performance, looks or anything special, just an easy installation. I saw some chatter in forums with people generally being happy with the price, quality and fitment, for just a basic system but that's not been my experience.

well like i said im going for tone and volume. but there arent any decent videos because this model simply wasnt that popular. and id like to keep it under the 6-700 dollar range. as of right nowim leaning twords the nvidia N1 catback but i feel like thats gonna sound ricey.

So that's a start. I just plugged it into google, and while I didn't read any reviews, it seems to have high ratings. Look on amazon for your specific fitment and read the reviews, and sometimes amazon will also show "customers also viewed" and see if you can follow the trail to read other reviews. That's what I do when I can't decide. Also, plug that into a search on this site as well and see if anyone's installed it.

And maybe here, you'll get a few people saying, yeah go with it, or maybe try something else instead. My goals are different so I probably can't offer any other advice. :/

When looking up exhaust videos, you can check out 90-97 Accords with the F22 motors. They will sound almost identical to the F23 in the 6th Gen.

Magnaflow makes a great sounding exhaust kit for the Accord. Should be well within your budget. Part number is #15690.I had one on my 96 2.2L, and it sounded great. Deep tone, no rasp, and didnt attract unwanted attention. If you want something a little quieter, I'd recommend an Apexi WS2 system. Part number #116-KH14. A little less throaty than the Magnaflow systems, closer to an OEM+ exhaust tone. Those are the top two options I'd recommend that you can still get new.

Keep in mind, cellphone camera microphones suck, but these are the closest I could find that sound like they do in person.
